Online Examinations Started on 24th August 2020 to 11th September 2020 For Final Years B.A & M.A (Planning)

Following the response to the negative effects of Covid-19 on teaching and learning, the University of Nairobi Senate approved guidelines and procedures for online examinations on 8th May 2020. The Special Senate was chaired by the Vice Chancellor, Prof.S.G.Kiama. The Senate relied on the provisions of Statutes- xxv that gives senate the mandate over all academic matters in the University. The University had adopted e-learning in March following the government’s ban on meetings and congregations to check the spread of the virus

E-learning a Success Story amidst COVID-19

 Online teaching has been a learning process, whereby lecturers are  using appropriate technology which is user friendly.  The challenges initially faced in adopting to this new technology have been overcomed and have their instructional practices, and successfully engaged students online. The tool include, convenience,  interactivity, benefit to student learning, and is applicable in real life experiences. 

Students have faced some geographical limitations through the  service providers and has led to drop  or low class attendances.
