Professor Mwangi presented a paper titled “Making Devolution and Decentralization Work in
Kiambu County through Institutional Framework of Boards of Municipalities” at the
workshop which was held at Lake Naivasha Resort on 15th to 17th October 2019
The workshop was organized by County Government of Kiambu County Kiambu in collaboration
with Kenya Urban Support Programme (KUSP) which funded by the World Bank (WB) and
focuses on building the capacity of Kiambu County Government and the six Boards of
Municipalities in best institutional framework and practices for municipalities involved in
implementing municipal urban development programmes and projects that are funded by
conditional grants provided by development partners’ fund through the World Bank.
