PROF. ISAAC KARANJA MWANGI TAKE ON UPGRADING OF NAKURU TOWN TO A CITY ON 4TH JUNE 2021

Nakuru Municipality will now be the fourth city in Kenya, after the Senate voted to support its elevation.

In a highly charged session, the Senate adopted a report by the Devolution and Intergovernmental Relations Committee, paving the way for Nakuru to become the fourth city in Kenya. The other cities are Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa. Prof. I. K. Mwangi  of University of Nairobi  Department of Urban and Regional Planning made his contributions on Nakuru's quest for city status.
