Dr. Fridah Mugo Chairperson Department of Urban and Regional Planning starts with a word of prayer at the Kenya Institute of Planners (KIP) Convention
Hon. Arch.Charles Karisa Dadu is the County Executive Committee Member (CECM), Health Services in the County Government of Kilifi.
The Kenya Institute of Planners will meet for their 15th Annual Planners’ Conference on the theme “Influencing planning and development in the next decade: 2021-2031 – Enhancing policy, legislation and plans”. It will be a hybrid event, with a virtual and in-person attendance option. The in-person event will be held at Diamonds Dream of Africa, Casuarina Road, Malindi, Kenya.
The meeting will focus on six “pillars”:
- Land-sea planning and management
- Planning for sustainable and resilient cities and human settlements
- Effective plan implementation to guide investment and development control
- Post-Covid-19 response and recovery
- Mainstreaming climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction through planning
- Enhancing public participation in planning and development
