Urban Planning 4th Year Students Educational Tour to Mombasa County From 30th May-4th June 2017

Dr. Silas Muketha and Mr. J. Murimi accompaned  the students to Mombasa County. They visited various places such as Fort Jesus. Fort Jesus (Mombasa’s most popular tourist attraction) is next to the Old Town. The area of interest being the  architecture of centuries gone and influenced by the African, Arabic and European cultures, from the narrow streets to the high ornamental balconies. Mombasa Old Town is one of the historical tourist attractions on Mombasa Island. 

There are many curio shops that sell arts and crafts, antiques and popular Kenyan souvenirs.
